Amazing Ice Designs began in a garage where Doug Christy learned the art from a retiring carver. Since then, our business has grown across the Austin and San Antonio areas with an occasional special delivery beyond.

In 2024, Adam Marsh bought the company, with Doug staying on the board for mentoring and consulting. Adam — a U.S. Army veteran and former police officer — turned to entrepreneurship after military injuries ended his career in public service. While earning his MBA at Baylor University, he explored the ice business and quickly found his passion. “Coming from a career where people called you on their worst days to one where we genuinely make people happy is a blessing,” says Adam.

Adam is joined by business partner Chris White who specializes in helping restaurants and bars make ice part of the experience, using custom sculptures, luges and cocktail cubes to attract patrons and increase sales.
